The past 12 months have had a profound impact on our collective psyche and our individual, family, organisational and community levels of wellbeing. Many of us have responded by battening down the hatches and hoping that we will be able to wait this out, while others have already hit the heart of the storm, and have been devastated by personal and professional losses, loss of income, loss of identity, and a loss of self. The COVID maelstrom shows no immediate signs of abating. A year ago, when comments were made that “we will never be the same again”, we found it easy to imagine that we would learn our lessons and somehow emerge stronger and more able to cope with adversity. We are now starting to acknowledge that indeed, our personal and collective worlds have suffered profound and, in many cases, irrevocable change.
How do we cope with this level of change? How do we find the courage and strength to lead not only ourselves on an internal journey of change and adjustment, but to support each other on this journey, and lead our families and organisations into a new, possibly anxiety provoking, reality?
In this series of three workshops we will share learning, experience and insights together, and work to co-create an understanding of how to manage deep change. Change of this nature is difficult, deep, and ongoing. It requires both commitment and humility, , requiring us to re-examine our concepts of self, of our connection and belonging with others, and of our place in this world. It is also profoundly rewarding, connecting us to our heart and our humanity, and offering us an avenue into love, belonging and connection.
We look forward to having you with us on this journey!
